The Minnesota Food Safety and Defense Task Force, established by Minnesota Statute 28A.21, is a group of individuals and organizations interested in promoting food safety and defense in the state. The Task Force members include federal, state, and local government agencies; commodity groups; food related trade associations; food producers; academia; and others. The Task Force meets 4 to 6 times per year. The Task Force sponsors educational opportunities each year to support and encourage food safety efforts.
